THANH HA POTTERY VILAGE
Location: Cam Ha Commune, Hoi An Town
This pottery trade of this village is believed to originate from Thanh
Hoa Province. From clay as main raw material,
the clever hands of artisans create pottery products for domestic use,
such as bowls, jars, vases, ornament tree pots, with a variety of shapes
and colors, and with great durability. These pottery products are on
display and on sale at souvenir shops and are very popular with
visitors.
Visiting this trade village, you will not only indulge yourselves in
shopping a variety of souvenir items, but also will be able to see with
your own eyes the stages in the making of these products.

PHUOC KIEU BRONZE CASTING
VILLAGE
Location: Dien Phuong Commune, Dien Ban District
Some of the products made by this village are bells, gongs, gong-like
music instruments, incense burners, lamp holders, ancient vases, and
other bronze musical instruments which are normally used in festivals,
ceremonies and
everyday life.
These musical instruments can give out unique sounds due to special
techniques of combination of different types of metals in the process of
casting which only the skilled artisans can do.

KIM BONG CARPENTER VILLAGE
Location: Cam Kim Commune, Hoi An Town
The carpentry of this village is believed to originate from North
Vietnam, and has long been famous with its arts of
wood carving and sculpture. Through contact and exchange with artisans
of the same trade from Chiem Thanh, China, Japan and so on, combined
with their own skills, these Kim Bong carpenters have created pieces of
work which have normally great meaning in philosophy and fine arts.
Products made here have been marketed in domestic as well as oversea
markets.

DUY TRINH SILK MAKING
VILLAGE
Location: Dong Yen - Thi Lai Village, Duy Trinh Commune, Duy Xuyen
District.
This village is famous for growing mulberry, breeding silkworms, making
silkcords and weaving silk. It is believed
that in nowhere else is the silk as fine as it is here. In its
silk-making history, in its most prosperous period, the silk growing
area was as much as 160 hectares and there were as many as 200
households engaged in this trade.
Visiting this village, visitors will have the opportunities to see with
their own eyes different stages in the production of these famous silk
products.

LA THAP POTTERY AND
PORCELAIN VILLAGE
Location: Duy Hoa Commune, Duy Xuyen District., about 20 km to the West
of Nam Phuoc District Town, by Road No. 610.
This village is famous for its pottery and porcelain products which are
made with the earth baking art learned from the Champa artisans who
built My Son Holy Land.
This is a good holiday spot for those who are interested in doing
research.

BAN THACH SEDGE MAT
Location: Duy Vinh Commune, Duy Xuyen District.
The name "Ban Thach" is believed to have existed since the
early 16th century when people from Thanh Hoa and Nghe An
came and settled down here. From simple raw materials such as sedge
cords and jute cords, the masterly hands of these artisans have made a
great variety of mats, which are marketed all over the countries.
This place is an exciting holiday spot, particularly for tourists who
are interested in visiting traditional trade villages of Quang Nam
Province.

THUAN TINH VILLAGE
Location: about 3km from the Center of Hoi An Old Town, reachable by
water or by road.
This was here a natural water coconut forest grown on an islet
surrounded by water which is blown all year round by the winds from the
sea. Coming here, visitors will find themselves mingling with nature:
boating admist rows of water coconut trees, fishing, horse-riding,
listening to birds’ singing, to fish waggling and resting in huts made
from bamboo, thatch or coconut leaves. Visitors can also see handicrafts
on display in beam houses which are typical of houses in rural areas in
Vietnam, enjoy special foods from rivers, lakes and the sea, and breathe
fresh air in a clean and green space, which is very typical of
Vietnamese countryside.

MA CHAU VLIIAGE
Location: Chau Hiep Hamlet, Nam Phuoc District Town, about 3km to the
East of the center of Nam Phuoc District.
This
village was once famous in Quang Nam for growing mulberry and breeding
silkworms to make silk. This trade is being restored and this place is
attracting tourists who are interested in visiting trade villages.

TRA BUI CULTURE VILLAGE
Location: Tra Bui Commune, about 12km to the West of Tra My District
Town by provincial road No. 616
This is an area inhabited by the Cadong ethnic people where traditional
houses on stilts are still maintained, together with long-established
customs. This place is ideal for tourists who are interested in
researching into customs and practices of minority people.

TAM HAI VILLAGE
Location: Situated along the coast of Tam Hai Village (Nui Thanh
District), about 10km to the East of Nui Thanh District Town.
Coming here, addition to visiting the poetic landscape of Ban Than,
tourists can also see An Hoa Cape, the impressing Dao Dua (Pineapple
Island), Bai Bac (Bac Plain) and Bai Nom (Nom Plain) with cliffs
stretching out which look like rock works in an environment which is
already beautiful.
Tam Hai village is ideal for sea eco-tourism and sightseeing.

DAI BUONG ORCHARDS
Location: On the right bank of Thu Bon River, about 20km from Hoi An
Town.
These orchards provide fruits for Danang and Hoi An.
What is special here is that there is a variety of fruits grown here,
those from the North, from the South and even from overseas.Boats come
to the village to buy fruits, creating crowded scenes all year round.
