“ QUẢNG NAM - INDOCHINA CULTURAL HERITAGES MEETING ”

The festival " The 3rd QUANG NAM- HERITAGE JOURNEY 2007 " on the theme " Quang Nam-Indochina Cultural Heritages Meeting " is realized from 26th - 30th June, 2007. It is an event of cultural-tourist interchange aiming to enhance international cooperation in the fields of restorating, rebuilding and developing cultural values of heritages, also boosting the inter-region tourism popularization and promotion in the three Indochina countries.
The Festival opening programme will be the meeting of Indochina cultural colours with traditional artistic highlights from Quảng Nam (Việt Nam), Siam Riep (Cambodia), Champasak, Luang Phrabang (Laos), where there are world cultural heritages and unique cultures in a diversified Indochina. The programme will be carried out on the romantic river of Hoai.
The festival " The 3rd QUANG NAM-HERITAGE JOURNEY 2007 " is also a chance to introduce to tourists the festival highlights, such as the arts of folk acting, arts of gastronomy, festivals of the occupational villages, folk games … not only from Quang Nam, but also localities nationwide.
In order to honour the world cultural heritages, the festival " The 3rd QUANG NAM-HERITAGE JOURNEY 2007 " will consist of artistic-cultural interchange gala nights between the heritage localities such as Siam Riep, Luang Phrabang, Hội An, Mỹ Sơn, Huế, Western Highlands; exhibitions of unique prototypes and pictures …to introduce cultural roots as well as artistic achievements of the three Indochina countries. It is also an opportunity for information exchange between Indochina cultural - tourist agencies and organizations.
The festival " The 3rd QUANG NAM-HERITAGE JOURNEY 2007 " will terminate with the performance " Cham Island - Legendary Space ", recovering legends relating to the history and culture of the "Lying Dragon" island, the National Heritage in the East Sea.
People and tourists will have a chance to meet together in the programme of " Farewell - Closing " to experience artistic-cultural interchanges between Vietnamese regions and Indochina world cultural heritages under the moon light on the Cham Island dissolving in the East Sea waves.
Quang Nam province has prepared properly to serve tourists with interesting programmes from coastal regions to the Legendary Trường Sơn trail…, with high quality services, traditional artistic craft things, diversified souvenirs…that will make unfadable impressions on tourists. From a legendary Mỹ Sơn to a tranquil Hội An, from a deep blue Cửa Đại sea plentiful of golden sunshine, a windy Cham Island to traditional occupational villages, riverine peaceful hamlets along Thu Bồn, Vu Gia, Điện Bàn rivers…, all will create a concentration of Quang Nam cultural values. It is also a cultural-tourist beauty appealing tourists to a region of the two world heritages ".
