Post and telecommunications: The system of
telecommunications is set up in all districts and towns
with more than 100,000 telephones connected to every
country in the world. Express services such as EMS, DHL,
fast money transfer, flower telegraphy, socio-economic
information inquiry reply (108), messaging (107, 104),
mobile phones, digital transmission, collect calls,
phone cards are available at all post offices.
Electricity: Most of the power supply in Quang Nam
is from the national electricity network of 500KV. Some
rural districts use electricity from small hydroelectric
stations. Many hydroelectric stations in Quang Nam
province are being built with high capacity such as A
Vuong in Dong Giang district, An Diem in Dai Loc
district, Tranh River in Bac Tra My...Current
electricity capacity obtains over 300 Kwh per year.
Transportation
Road: Currently, many national highways
across Quang Nam include Ho Chi Minh Road, 1A, 14B, 14D,
14E with a total length of more than 400 km and 18
provincial roads of 450km in total length. National
roads 14 (14B, 14D, 14E), especially, cross the People’s
Republic of Laos through Dac-Oc border. This border
which has been recognized as a national border gate will
be an international border gate in the near future.
Railway: The North-South railway crossing
Quang Nam Province is 95km long through Tra Kieu, Phu
Cang, Tam Ky, Diem Pho, Chu Lai stations.

Seaway: Ky Ha port is a deep water port
located in Chu Lai Open Economic zone near Dung Quat
Economic Zone (Quang Ngai province) where under
20,000-ton ships have access to land. In the coming
time, investments will be made to widen the port for
ships of ten thousands of tons are able to dock. From
here, commodities will be transported to other
countries, and this port will be an ideal transit for
many international sea transportation.
Waterway: Quang Nam Province has 8 river
systems of 200km in length equally disposed all over the
province to facilitate the transportation of goods and
passengers for 5-25 ton ships. Many of these river
systems have poetic sceneries suitable for the
exploitation of waterway tourism such as Thu Bon, Vu gia,
Truong Giang, Tam Ky...

Airway: Currently, Chu Lai airport - a
military airbase built by American army before 1975- has
been upgraded and some domestic flights have been made.
Chu Lai is one of the six most modern airports in
Vietnam with 3,000 hectares in area , a 3,050-metre
runway, good air quiet level, no fog, which can meet the
demand of serving such big airplanes as Boeing,
Airbus... In the future, Chu Lai airport will be able to
serve international passenger and commodity flights in
North Asia, and Pacific area.
Healthcare - Education
Healthcare system: There are ten
provincial hospitals, 15 general consulting centers, 16
district hospitals and 233 clinics.
School system: Each district has a school
system from primary to secondary schools and there are
10 high schools. There are 2 universities and 4 colleges
and many educational and vocational training centers. |
