DAY 1: SAIGON – CAI BE – TRA ON (L – D)
Depart from your hotel and drive to Cai Be in the heart of the Mekong Delta. En route visit the Cao Dai Temple at Ben Luc before boarding (around noon) the Bassac – a converted and fully equipped traditional rice barge designed for modern comfort. Enjoy a welcome drink and introduction to the ship and crew. Check into the cabins and depart for Cho Lach on the Tien Giang river. Lunch en route. Relax on the deck. As the Bassac slips into the Chợ Lách canal, between river markets and churches, enjoy catching a glimpse of the varied life along the bustling waterway. Visit a village on the banks of the river Mang Thit as well as an orchard and rice fields nearby. Enjoy a complimentary drink as a welcome back on board. Rest on the deck as you take in the sunset. The crew will serve dinner while the Bassac cruises along the Mang Thit river. Drop anchor just downstream from the little Tra On floating market, for the night.

DAY 2: CAN THO – HO CHI MINH CITY (B – L)
Breakfast starts early on board – 0630 – as the ship resumes its cruise to the Tra On floating market and then on towards Can Tho. Arrive at Cai Rang floating market, check out and transfer onto a local boat to visit the floating market. Dock and stroll through a street market before having lunch in a local restaurant. Drive back to Ho Chi Minh City and arrive later in the afternoon.
